Beech Mountain, N.C. - The Milligan College Cycling team was represented by freshman, Grayson Brookshire and senior, Andrew Stallings this weekend at the Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals in Beech Mountain, North Carolina.

 

In short track, Stallings took 13th, and Brookshire finished 30th.

 

Head Coach, Zack Nave said, “These were very solid results on an extremely demanding course.”

 

In cross-country, Stallings finished 24th and Brookshire finished 33rd. Stallings was also able to take 27th in the downhill race.

 

Stallings finished strong with 13th in Dual Slalom. This allowed him to accomplish fifth overall in the individual omnium.

 

“I am very proud of the two racers that represented us at Mountain Bike Nationals, “ said Nave. “Now we look forward to a much larger team traveling to conference and national collegiate cyclocross races.”

 

Cyclocross season will begin at the University of South Carolina on November 8th.
