There comes a point in everyone’s life where things seem to fall a part. Some say it’s one of the most relatable aspects of life.  Due to this, moviemakers have taken this storyline and ran with it.

This is Where I Leave You hit theaters on Sept. 19. Shawn Levy directed this motion picture. His directing history ranges from Night at the Museum to Date Night.  Levy’s directing style is seen throughout the film, as he helped create a heartwarming story with meaning and laughter.

The real MVP behind This is Where I Leave You is Jonathan Tropper, the author of the novel that inspired the film. Published in 2009, Tropper’s novel was acclaimed by USA Today as "often sidesplitting, mostly heartbreaking…”

To execute the hysterically, emotional storyline, Hollywood hotshots make up the lead cast for the motion picture: Jane Fonda, Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Rose Byrne, and more. The audience is immediately captivated by the charisma of these beloved actors. Fey and Bateman’s online chemistry as brother and sister comes off as lovable and relatable with the typical sibling bickering.

Another aspect of the film that appeals to audiences is the ability to relate to the storyline. Levy, Tropper, and the cast successfully capture the feel of grown siblings being reunited under the same roof, showing scenes of sibling bickering while reminiscing fond childhood memories.

This is Where I Leave You contains characters that will charm audiences of all ages. If you’re looking for a movie to laugh at, cry with, and make you feel captured by the feeling of “home”, check out This is Where I Leave You.
